DRIE Toronto Virtual Symposium and Annual General Meeting, Wednesday December 16th, 2020, 2:00 – 4:00 PM

Dear DRIE Toronto Members:

This is to announce that DRIE Toronto will hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, December 16th, followed by our annual “Barks ‘n Bites” session facilitated by Des O’Callaghan, Vito Mangialardi and Ralph Dunham. The AGM is anticipated to run from 2:00 – 2:30.

I am writing to appeal for your help and cooperation for our AGM which is an annual requirement as per our DRIE Toronto by-laws. Our by-laws also require a minimum of 50 eligible DRIE Toronto members in attendance or by proxy to achieve quorum, so we may hold a legitimate AGM.

Given the completely unprecedented times in which we are living, many of you are extremely busy executing and sustaining your pandemic plans, along with other challenges living with COVID-19. However, I am appealing to you to please make every effort to attend the AGM and stay for Bark ‘n Bites. However, if you cannot attend, I would encourage you to nominate a proxy to represent you at the AGM, in the event your vote is required.

Nominating a proxy is as easy as identifying a fellow DRIE Toronto member who will attend, securing their e-mail agreement to act as your proxy, and then forwarding the e-mail to our Secretary, Liisa Rivest at: secretary@toronto.drie.org anytime prior to December 16th.

I most certainly hope you maintain an active interest in the running of your DRIE Toronto association and help us, your Board, keep things moving even throughout this pandemic.

Thank you so much for your cooperation!
Stay healthy, stay safe…
Joe Ozorio, President – DRIE Toronto
